EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS To
TOUGH CHALLENGES
Sustainable water treatment
Developed under the world's strictest environmental regulations when it comes to emissions of chemicals and heavy metals. When washing heavy vehicles, dirt, particles and environmentally hazardous substances that come with the wash water are removed.
This polluted water must be taken care of and be treated.
Westmatic has long experience in water treatment and with our solution we recycle up to 85% of the
wash water and clean the remaining water before it is released into the municipal sewer.
Reuse of wash water
Water Recycling
The wash water used in the wash bays flows into a chamber where an initial sedimentation takes place.
It is then led on to a ground tank system where it first passes a coarse sludge tank and then on to a fine sludge tank.
From the fine sludge tank, the water is pumped up to a hydrocyclone where the particles are separated from the water, and then the particle-cleaned water is treated with ozone to eliminate bad odors, it is led further to a buffer tank in the tech room. The separated particles are led to a disposal tank in the ground. The particle-cleaned water in the buffer tank is then used in the wash cycle again.
Up to 85% of the wash water is reused, which provides great benefits both for the environment and the economy.
Adaptable for water usage needs
Westmatic wash systems are designed and engineered to exceed some of the world's most stringent regulations for the use of water and power resources.
Our systems were originally designed for the Scandinavian and European markets where the cost for consumables like water, chemicals and electricity can be up to four times higher than in Australia.
It takes a lot of water to clean a truck, bus, or train. A typical wash cycle can use over 400 Litres of water.
Depending on where you live, access to freshwater can be expensive or limited and your wastewater can be highly regulated.
Westmatic has manufactured and installed wash systems and recycling systems in thousands of wash bays worldwide. Let us help you manage your water usage and preserve the environment.
